Florida Working to Ease Property Insurance Woes

According to FloridaRealtors.org, our government is doing its job to curb our excessive property insurance rate and give us more alternatives.

Gov. Charlie Crist has ordered the state to examine whether insurance companies are following the state law that was supposed to deliver big savings to consumers, and if they’re working “in concert” in violation of antitrust laws. Regulators also rejected State Farm’s latest proposal to drop windstorm rates by 7 percent, saying it’s not good enough.
